The Type in Nepali application provides an online tool for typing in Nepali language. As the user types in the text box, relevant auto-suggestions (powered by a comprehensive set of Nepali words and phrases) are presented, which the user can choose to complete the word or phrase.
Following procedures have been used to ensure the quality of the words and phrases:
- All words and phrases have been verified against Nepali Brihat Shabdakosh published by the Nepal Academy (Nepal Pragya-Pratisthan.) The first edition of Nepali Brihat Shabdakosh published in 2040 BS was used until 2010. From the beginning of 2011, the seventh edition of Nepali Brihat Shabdakosh published in 2067 BS has been used.
- Inflections that appear in the suggestions are generated based on Nepali grammar rules.
